Integration between creative, media and interactive fueling new business model for Nashville's oldest continuous advertising agency.
Nashville, Tenn. (April 1, 2007) JA is now the agency of record for bowling industry leader Ebonite International, further proof that JA's recent reorganization is paying dividends for the agency and its growing client base.
Based in Hopkinsville, Ky., Ebonite International is a privately-owned company that services bowling centers, distributors and retail outlets, both domestically and internationally. Ebonite and Hammer - two of the company's brands - currently dominate the high-performance ball market. Ebonite International recently completed an asset purchase from Columbia Industries, including the Columbia, Track and Dyno-Thane brands of balls and bags. Columbia's ball manufacturing facilities will relocate to Hopkinsville from San Antonio.
Ebonite International also owns Ebonite Vantech (capital equipment), Powerhouse (Pro Shop equipment and supplies), Vantage Bowling (capital equipment parts) and Robby's (positioners).
After serving Ebonite on the interactive side for five years, JA will now also handle the company's advertising, creative, strategic planning and media buying.
Turning an interactive client into a full-service client is the most visible result to date of a tactical restructuring of the agency by JA President Steve Barry.
"This agency has grown considerably in both scope and scale in the last 24 months," Barry said. "And that's by design. We want to continue to serve our existing client base but we also want to enhance our capabilities to create full-service solutions for emerging companies like Ebonite."
